I wish I could use one post to summarize where life has taken me the last year or so. Obviously I have let this little corner of the internet I love and cherish slip away. There are too many memories to document now, but here’s to hoping we can make a comeback!
In the fall of 2017 I found out I was pregnant with our first child, was working part time in a bakery, and was about to start a cosmetology program. Life was insane. Morning sickness kicked me in the hind quarters so hard I had to quit my job. I can’t tell you how many times I threw up at school either. It was insanity! Eventually the second trimester rolled around and life was busy, but there was no 24/7 puking. Hallelujah!
Through the winter and spring I studied hard. Cosmetology school kept me focused and busy during my pregnancy. I made so many friends! The school environment was and still is magically uplifting. You can’t leave without a smile glued to your face.
At the end of April I left school to have my baby. One day I’ll be able to go back, but right now I am soaking up as many snuggles as possible.
On May 7th we welcomed our son Caspian into our family. He was considered a ‘late pre-term’ baby since he was born at 36 weeks and 4 days. We were worried he would have health concerns due to his early arrival, but he was 6 lbs 14 oz, 19” long and was so stinking perfect. Our little miracle!
So where do we go from here? I’m not sure. I’d love to blog more, see more, and craft more. I’d love to share more of my sweet baby too. You’ll love him, he’s amazing. For now I’ll say goodbye to the easy life before I became a mother, and I’ll say hello to a new world full of possibilities.
