I don't know about the rest of the country, but it is extremely hot here in northern Utah. We may have beautiful green mountains and grass, but we are still a desert state, and with that comes hot, dry, unbearable heat waves. Not to mention we pretty much worship our oscillating fan in the summer due to our non-existent air conditioning unit. First world problems, I know, I know. My point is, we really needed a refreshing trip to the lake. Yes, even with the proper use of sunscreen, I am still very toasty. Yes, I am willing to pay that price for an entire day of cold water and making memories with friends.
Hopefully we will be able to go again soon!
Today I am grateful for...work schedules that coincide with family outings, good friends, and refreshing water within a short car ride.
