Crazy Art Fiasco

So way back in December we received news that my sister-in-law is getting married. Her wedding is in three days and I'm a bridesmaid. I'm super happy for both of them and I wish them the best.

But here's the downfall: we needed to find red dresses. Now, back in August when I got married I couldn't find anything but red dresses. My bridesmaids wore navy blue and they were cute and perfect for the summer heat. Now that I'm looking for a red dress they are no where to be found and the ones that I can find are incredibly small/short. I am almost 6 feet tall. I do not want to look like a pasty white pole in a little scrap of fabric that would be considered a long dress on a shorter person. Nope. Not happening. But seeing as I do adore my sister-in-law, I quickly came up with my own solution: Making my own.

Do you ever have a picture of something in your head, like a drawing, and it turns out nothing like what you pictured? That's exactly how this is going. However, I am determined to make this dress work one way or another, and I probably will wear it to the wedding and then throw it in the scrap piles because I just can't handle it anymore. After it is finished, I'm going to post a photo. Pardon my lack of photos for this project because we've been moving and I can't seem to find where I packed my camera. Bleh. Story of my life.
