In the world of subscription boxes it can be a little overwhelming. I know this because that's exactly how I feel whenever I see people promote them on social media. How am I supposed to choose? Do I want something that's bigger and more expensive, or do I want something that's small and less costly?
Last November Branson signed me up for Ipsy bags. It's $10.00 a month and you get a few little fun products to try out. This is on the less costly side of subscription boxes, perfect for those wanting to dangle their feet in first. Today I thought I'd show you what all I received in my January bag and my opinions on the products.
1. SL MissGlam Blend Beauty Brush L34: isn't this the cutest brush? I love the light purple color with the ombre tip. The bristles are really soft and I feel like it's really easy to use.
2. F.U.N. Lacquer TGIF: Normally I shy away from glitter nail polish, mostly because I feel like the effort it takes to take it off isn't worth the sparkles. This nail polish surprised me! Not only is it a lovely gold shade, but after a few coats it fully covers your nail and taking it off was easy peasy!
3. ModelCO BLUSH Cheek Powder in Peach Bellini: You. Guys. This color is so lovely! Its very pigmented so you don't actually need a lot. I can't wait for spring and summer so I can rock this everyday.
4. Manna Kadar Cosmetics Fantasy 3-in-1 Eyeshadow: I have found my holy grail eyeshadow shade. This is the perfect base or transition shade. I've worn it on it's own on days when I don't want to go full out with my makeup, and I still feel like I've put more effort in that I have.
5. NOTE Fragrances Pink Peony Eau de Parfum: Out of all the products that came in the bag this one was the one I fretted over the most. I'm not really into sweet, floral smells for myself. I gravitate toward musky, warm scents, so this was out of my comfort zone a little bit. However, I did spray some on to get used to the smell, and I have to say its growing on me. The scent is very fresh and clean, but I also feel it's sweet and floral with a hint of citrus. I'm going to use up the whole sample before I make a definitive decision and I'll let you know what I think.
That's it for my January Ipsy bag! Overall I loved the products inside and I'm eagerly awaiting my February bag!
