Hardware Ranch Elk Outing

I have no sewing post for you today, but I do have a fun little activity my family ventured on today that I think you guys should see! Here in northern Utah we have the Hardware Ranch, and what is so amazing about this little farm hidden in the mountains is the hundreds of elk that migrate to the meadow every winter. They set out food for the elk in the hopes of keeping them from going into the city limits and being hit or killed. It works! Our guide said at one time he has seen 750 elk in this meadow. That's crazy! I believe there were roughly over 100 there today, but I can't imagine 750! You hop into these little 'carriage'-like cars and they are pulled by Clydesdale horses, which are absolutely gorgeous! If you're ever in the Utah area between December and February, check this place out!

Today I am grateful I live in such a beautiful place. BeUTAHful.
