When Art Fails, It's Still Art

Remember this photo from my last post? Well, I went to go print it out to hang up in our guest bathroom. It actually matched all the colors we have in the bathroom. Double fist pump! I still wasn't sold on it, so I used a photo editing program to kinda give it some black and white in a few areas. The result was this awesome picture. Did I save it before I printed it? No. Obviously not.

The printer, running low on ink (little did I know), gave me this:
There is NO pink in our house for a very good reason. Yucky. At this point, I was pretty much done. However, seeing as I just wasted a perfectly nice piece of paper, and all that ink, I thought I'd find something to do with it. As you can see, I turned it upside down. Ideas popped into my head like a billion lightbulbs going on all at once (remember the Griswalds?).

I glued it to the back of a piece of cardboard first. Then I went in and tried to add more color to the pink. I was so pleased with it, I kept going. Also, if you laugh at this next part, it's okay. I laughed at myself too.

This picture got a large covering of plastic wrap. (I lost the glass for the picture frame I was using.)

Quickly, I added these little beauties to the back of my frame, who was sadly lacking them. Who am I to deny a friendship like this, eh?

Since I lost the backing to the picture frame as well, this puppy received a good dose of hot glue. Now I have some art to brighten up the guest bathroom.
