I am into my second week of training for my new job. There are so many things to learn, and sometimes I think my brain will pop out of my skull, but I am confident that I have the capability to do a great job. When I found out I was hired, I thought to myself, 'I'm never getting up early. I'll be too tired. I don't care if people think I look sick because I'm not wearing makeup. Hello, casual'. That has not been the case.
Each morning I've gotten up, showered, done my hair and make up, plus put myself into a cute little outfit or two. I think the only reason I even do this, is because it's so gratifying to come home from work and change into sweat pants. When I wasn't working, I was in sweat pants all day. It just wasn't the same. Since I've started working--this is my very first job--I've seen that I have so much more energy. I actually feel like I'm not wasting my days away. Go me!
But this does mean that when I come home, I want to relax. I'm human, you guys. Sweats, Bones reruns, and oatmeal cookies will give you one happy camper over here. By the time I feel 'relaxed' it's bed time. Oh, darn. Yesterday I managed to get in some sewing. My sweet grandma gave me a few old nightgowns that she was going to give to the D.I. I loved the vintage patterns on them, so I kinda snatched them up. I turned one into a cute top that is unbelievably comfortable. Sadly I didn't make a tutorial. I'm sorry. I'm actually planning on making another top, and that tutorial will be coming up as soon as I can get it going. Yay for extra energy!
Hope your week is going as well as mine!
