I have come into a love for floral patterns. Why is my inner girly girl suddenly springing out like a jack-in-the-box? Help? Besides that, I still have a love for infinity scarves. Call me crazy, but I am always thinking about them, and if and when the trend dies...so will a part of me. However, I live in Utah and that means snow. That in turn means I have a reason--no, a need--to wear nice neck protectors. Who can argue with that?
So it's basically like my other tutorials, without the fringe and paint.
This is a black t shirt I can't wear because it's just a fraction (or three) too small. So I chopped off the top portion at the sleeves right at the armpits.
Then I cut out 24 lace roses. I mean I got in every nook and cranny until I was satisfied with an even number. I have this thing against odd numbers. Its part of my OCD issues.
Following the time-consuming cutting, I scattered the roses and pinned them to the shirt. I opted out of hand sewing them onto the fabric. It would have taken me twice as long, and the sewing machine came kinda handy. Thank you technology.
They look so happy to be under the needle. (That sounded like something a drug-addict would say. Not that I'm judging. But still...)
Yeah, it's pretty amazing if I do say so myself. I was tempted to add more, but after the two hour process I opted out. Yay for me because sometimes simplicity is the most beautiful element to art.
Happy sewing!!
