Refashioned Shoes

I have these pair of black heels in my closet that I don't like to wear because they're too plain. So, I decided they would be my test dummy in my refashion adventures.

I love lace, so I grabbed some spare lace I had lying around, and some modge podge, because I use that stuff on everything. And I didn't have enough lace to cover the whole shoe, but I honestly only wanted to focus on the toe portion. So I laid the lace over the shoe and cut off just enough that it would cover the toe.

After that I applied glue to the lace.

I left about two inches off the sides without glue so I could cut them off if they hung from the toe. Then I placed it on the shoe, smoothing out the lace with my fingers.

Trim off the extra fabric on the bottoms. I covered the lace in glue one more time, this time coating all the lace. Now comes the hard part: waiting for them to dry.

This is what the shoes look like now. I love them. It won't be a chore to wear them now.
