Another super quick project to post on this beautiful Tuesday morning! Hope you all managed to have a wonderful weekend. I certainly did!
(Note: There are probably easier way to take these pants in, I'm sure Pinterest could hook you up with a tutorial or two. I'm simply showing how I, personally, went about the project to reach my overall goal.)
Pajama pants that are just a wee bit too large in all the wrong places.
Even when you lay them flat there's more junk in the trunk than is useful.
This is the crotch of the pajamas, above. Using pins, I marked a line along the inner seam of the pant leg from one ankle to the next, and did what I do best: Stitch that bad boy up!
Time to remove the extra "baggage". Finish off the raw edges with a zig-zag stitch, or a serger.
Now, that previous sewing I completed earlier takes care of our leg problem. Now we have to take in that very baggy, very miserable looking butt.
A little snipping, stitching, unpicking, and frustrated growls later we have these:
*Today I am grateful for hand-me-downs.
