I have freedoms, rights, and a voice.

Here I am heard, and here I am seen.

I am no better than any other individual on the planet.

I respect other countries.

I respect individuals with opinions and beliefs different than my own.

I am grateful to the men and women who fight daily to protect us.

I'm grateful for the families of fallen soldiers who must carry the loss with them always.

I am grateful for my government, even when I don't agree with what is being done.

I am an American.

One nation under God.

*Today is my favorite holiday! I want all of my readers to know that I am proud to be an American. My heart longs to explore other countries, cultures, and people. I hope you all know I don't feel I am better than anyone because I'm American. I'm still a normal human being like the rest of you. I grew up in a military home. American pride runs through my veins. I'm grateful for my upbringing and my freedoms. I am very proud to be an American.
