Staying Alive

I've missed this crazy blogging world. Life is throwing so much at us right now it's a whirlwind of crazy. Yet, here I am, trying to push through it, even though I just want a platter of brownies and a good action movie.

Yesterday Branson finished his first semester of college! I can't even begin to tell you all how proud I am. There have been times when we questioned whether or not we could afford to keep him in school, but starting Monday, he begins a summer semester! 15 weeks worth of course work in one month? I knew Branson was crazy, but I had no idea his level of insanity ran at this rate. Honestly, I am beyond proud. He's even registered for the fall semester. We finally found a place where Branson is excelling at a growing rate. How could we not be super excited?

On top of all this school stuff, we've been looking for a new place to live. Want to know what really just grinds my gears? We have 29 days to pick between the two places we want to move into. You should probably know that I am beyond panic. I'm at full-fledged angry anxiety. In my brain, this should have been decided months ago. Sometimes we just have to learn that we don't always get what we want (I feel firmly reprimanded.). I've been job hunting like mad, trying to find something--anything! Luckily most college students are leaving to go home, and the jobs will open up. Even if they happen to be seasonal work, it's still employment! I am spending two days a week playing with the sweetest little boy you could dream of. He is such a blessing in my life right now, and I've grown to adore the family as well.

We managed to take a break from the craziness and spend some much needed time with Branson's side of the family. I love each of them so much! They're weird, and quirky, exactly how I think people should be. My in-laws are the funniest people walking the planet. My father-in-law has decided my mother-in-law, and myself, are not just from the same pod, but we are the same pea; too many similarities for it to be a coincidence.

If you're wondering where the refashions have been...well...they actually haven't, and not for reasons stated above. I, um, well, broke my machine. You bet your bottom dollar I'm devastated. We are a little too poor to get the thing looked at, but I promise you, I've been creating so many projects in my head (and on Pinterest). When things fall into place, and they will, eventually, you will not know what hit you. I'm pretty darn-tootin' excited!

So while the rest of you enjoy the warming weather, I'll continue to pack. Then I'll move (hopefully), and then unpack. Finally, around the time July rolls around, we will be back in action!
