Spontaneous Fishing: Story of My Life

I haven't been posting as much lately, due to the fact that Branson and I are a little swamped. In May our lease is up, and we will be moving out of our apartment hopefully into a new housing unit closer to the campus. Branson registered for his summer semester yesterday! Lets see how he likes cramming a 15 week course into one month. Also, his semester ends right around the time we need to start moving. To top off this swamp cake, we also found out our car, Buford, might be leaving us soon. For some reason he decided to have all his car problems at once. To fix and repair our baby, we would have to pay anywhere between $1,200 to $2,100. More than the amount of the loan we still have to pay. As my Dad always says: "Welcome to the joys of car ownership".

My sweet Dad actually spent the whole day with me. After we got the car checked out we went to Kneaders for their awesome french toast. If you haven't been, please get into your car, and drive as fast as possible to your nearest Kneaders. It's so worth it! Following breakfast, we dropped Branson off at school, and then we headed about 20 miles out to the Blacksmith River, where we committed the rest of the day to fishing.

I grew up spending my summers out in the Unitahs with my family. We would camp, chase squirrels, and spend hours fishing. There is no place on Earth I feel more relaxed, or at peace, than in these mountains.

Dad ended up hooking my head with the fly. Then he proceeded to get it caught on a fence. And then he hooked his own head. He blamed the wind, I giggled and went along with it.
