Christmas Outfit Ideas

A little while ago I made a post about certain clothing items I've had my eyes on for a while. This post is somewhat similar. Branson and I are planning on visiting a lot of relatives this upcoming Christmas holiday. Now, I'm normally all for the red and green color combination, or--I was--until I started looking around and realizing that I am an adult, and it's okay to wear something different.

So I put together a few different outfits I would have no problem wearing for the holidays.

For a family Christmas party, I think you can count on everyone wearing red, green, black, or gold. There's nothing wrong with that, but like I said, I don't feel like that fits my personality. However, I do want to remain somewhat festive. I picked mint, navy blue, and gold to base this outfit off of. It's fun and cheerful, which is exactly what I was looking forward to. Adding the patterned belt and sparkly earrings makes it a little more interesting.

Another option for a party would be this little duo. I don't mind using the cliche' holiday colors, but I'll find a way to spruce them up. By adding the magenta instead of red, I've separated myself from being too original. I picked gold sparkles for the flats and the top because I have an obsession. I've put gold in both outfits I've shown recently. It will probably show up in the next one.

For a more dressy setting, but one that is still a tad bit casual, I'd pick this. I'm actually working on a skirt that looks similar to this one for my Christmas parties. Throwing in some pattern mixing with the polkadots and aztec print makes this super fun and comfy. (Guys, I added gold in with the shoes. I even tried not to pick something gold, but I need an AA recovery program now.)

I don't really feel like I need to say much on this subject. Cute PJ's (especially gold ones), a fuzzy robe, and slippers make Christmas morning bearable and cozy. I probably will have under-eye bags, a weird mop of hair, and a very loopy smile. Oh, well. :)

I hope you enjoyed looking at what weeks of Pinterest obsessing can do for my brain. If I could I would wear all of these for the Christmas festivities in my life this year.
